School-to-Work Alliance Program (SWAP)

SWAP is a collaborative effort between local school districts and the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). The program is designed for youth who have barriers to finding and keeping employment.

Our Mission

To believe in and create an environment that encourages and inspires young adults to grow by succeeding in the world of work.

Who Is Eligible for SWAP Services?

Have a mild to moderate disability. Examples:
- Learning Disabilities
- Physical Disabilities
- ADD or ADHD
- Emotional Behavior Disorder
- Substance Abuse
At risk of dropping out or have dropped out of school

Youth out of school

Graduates with barriers
Drop-outs with barriers

Youth between the ages of 16-25

What Does SWAP Offer to Young Adults?

Career exploration
Assessment of skills & interests
Development of a resume
Instruction on filling out job application
Interview skills
Provide support in the form of mentorship and short term job coaching (as needed)
Supervising youths’ progress on the job
Job retention Skills
Post employment follow-up and support
